Anna Silk was the first child born to Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a actress, playwright director, producer, playwright and professor of St. Thomas University). Anna Silk's father is British, and her mother, is a Turkish Cypriot English expat. Her mother was always watching her perform in play rehearsals. Early on, Anna appeared on several commercials for television. Anna relocated to Toronto in Ontario for the purpose of pursuing her acting. The decade which followed, she made the move into Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman, whom she met at an Los Angeles actors' workshop back in 2007, became her husband in 2009. Anna was a convert to Judaism at the time and Seth Cooperman got married in December of 2010 in Fredericton.
