She competed in Miss Columbus 1985. Miss Columbus 1985 and won the title, kissing the crown and defeating the other contestants. In the wake of her win she was able to compete for Miss Georgia. Miss Georgia pageant in June 1985. On June 22 Mohr was the winner of the tournament. Mohr was crowned winner of the competition, then went on to represent Georgia as Miss America 1986 in Atlantic City in New Jersey in September of 1985. Despite her victory Mohr did not finish within the Top 10 for national title.
