Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin (born Winnipeg, born in Wellington,) is a Canadian actor from Canada. Born in Winnipeg and raised in Wellington Paquin was able to make her acting debut in the role of Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she was awarded an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress aged 11 years old, which makes her the second youngest winner of the award in Oscar history. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin, born July 24, 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster as Best Supporting Actress acting as the bright and interesting child of Holly Hunter's leading role in The Piano. The part of Flora McGrath - the daughter to an Scottish muffled pianist from New Zealand at mid-19th Century was a part she won at an audition open to all. Paquin was chosen to play the role of the child in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre in the year 1996. Also, she was the lead role as a lead character in Fly Away Home, a film that was released in the same year. Paquin played Frankie Addams as a child in the 1996 television version of Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. Paquin was also in the role of Queen of Spain, in Steven Spielbergs 1997 film Amistad. She portrayed teens on the screen in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (1998), A Walk on the Moon (1998) and Almost Famous (2000). Also, she played the character of Polexia Aphrodisa.
