Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (Greek American) is a Greek American writer, syndicated-columnist and a businesswoman. She's co-founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global, as well as the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington, a non-profit liberal news outlet and a TV host, author, and charitable donor. She was born in Greece and immigrated to England when she was 16. Then, at Cambridge University, she graduated with a MA in economics. In her 21st year, she was the president of the famed debating society The Cambridge Union' and was the very first foreign student in the history of Cambridge University to be elected. In the years following her graduation, she made a impression as an editor for a conservative newspaper as well as with the launch of The Huffington Post' few years later, she developed an online voice portal which gave critical opinions on the political scenario. The fame of Arianna helped to attract several well-known contributors to share their views about politics, news and the arts. Arianna rose to fame following her decision to run as an independent presidential candidate during the California recall vote to succeed the Governor Davis. Also, she was the head of a Detroit initiative to make cars more fuel efficient. In 2009, she was ranked by Forbes as one of the most influential women in media. She was ranked 12th place on the list. The same year, Guardian placed her in their Top 100 Media list. AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post, and the post was made president by this group of media. This was a huge acquisition that included a number of AOL products at the time like Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Their parents are Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos who was a management advisor and journalist. She was very close with her father, but it was her relationship to her mother that formed her. She displayed leadership qualities throughout her childhood. When she was 16 she moved to United Kingdom to pursue her studies. She enrolled into Girton College Cambridge. In her college years, she belonged to Cambridge Union. Cambridge Union debating group where she went on to become the first female president and only foreign president. In 1972, she earned the degree of master's in Economics. After after graduation she became a TV host and columnist. Her appearance on Face the music with Bernard Levin was also noteworthy. She started writing books, taking his help in editing.
