Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a uncommon pop sensation: A superstar who crossed over completely from country music to pop culture, becoming a pop icon that will be around forever, and will conquer all of the world. Swift removed her roots in the country as though they were part of her skin, revealing she was perhaps the savviest popular singer/songwriter in her generation one who could harness the zeitgeist make it personal and also perform in the opposite direction. The first songs she released, such as the neotribute in tribute to Tim McGraw were a testament to her talent. The second album Fearless from 2008 showed a songwriter finding her voice and a wider public. Fearless had a great success not only on American soil, with six platinum-certified songs. In fact, the Top Ten songs Love Story & You Belong with Me were the primary reasons behind this. But, it also did well all over the world. Speak Now delivered almost two years later and consolidated this popularity and pushed Swift towards the top of superstardom. Swift's popularity continued to grow through her subsequent three albums -- Red (2012) 1989 (2014) as well as Reputation (2017) Reputation (2017) which saw her move into a realm of pop music where she already belonged. While she reduced the production of her folklore album, and Evermore releases in 2020 she was still leading the way in pop music.
