Walker was born in 1976 and was raised within Philadelphia Pennsylvania United States of America. She is of African American origin, as well as is an American. She's born to Harvey Welker (a Native American father) and Julie Welker (an African-American mom). The mother of the family is an agent while her father is a civil engineer. Walker was a student at the Germantown Friends School in Philadelphia's Germantown in 1994, and was awarded a diploma in 1994. She then attended Harvard College, where she received a Bachelors in Arts degree. Welker is engaged to John Hughes a well-known marketing director at Merck at Philadelphia and they have two children.
